Activities and Organisation
According to the Pension Insurance Act, HZMO's business activity is the implementation of mandatory pension insurance based on generational solidarity (1st pillar of the pension insurance) and the child benefit entitlement procedure.
HZMO also performs the following:
- Activities related to insured persons’ entitlements under pension insurance
- Ensures implementation of international pension insurance agreements
- Ensures that insured persons exercise their rights according to the law and provides related expert assistance
- Implements development and improvement policy in the field of pension insurance
- Other activities related to the implementation and exercising of pension insurance rights.
HZMO performs its work by providing professional services in its offices organized on the territorial principle: the Central Office with its seat in Zagreb, 5 regional services, 14 regional offices and 92 local offices with their headquarters in the cities and municipalities of the Republic of Croatia. Thus, the established professional service ensures:
- Smooth, rational and successful performance of activities
- Exercising of pension insurance rights by all insured persons
- Implementation of the child benefit entitlement procedures
- Performing of expert, legal, administrative and other assignments.
